Written Notification

​​As per Section 9 of the Environmental Protection and Management Act (EPMA)Chapter 240. it shall be the duty of every person, who intends to carry out the prescribed activity set out in  Schedule 1, to submit a Written Notification to the Authority before he undertakes such activity. The Written Notification shall be accompanied with the details as required in the Schedule 2, together with a completed Notification Matrix (in EXCEL format), prior to the start of any activity.

 

Submission shall be made in the form of:

  • ONE (1) ORIGINAL HARDCOPY addressed to:

Please note that there is a review period of THREE (3) months for each submission (and resubmission) upon receipt of the Written Notification. The review period will start upon receiving both the hardcopy and softcopy submission. As per Section 9(7) no person shall undertake any prescribe activity until there is written approval from the Authority.

As per Section 26 of the EPMA, it is an offence to carry out any prescribed activity set out in Schedule 1 without Written Notification to the Authority, where upon conviction can be subject to a fine not exceeding 1,000,000ドル.00, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years or both.
