Yes. I admit that it is possible to reify relations and map an N-adic relation to a node that has N connections to other stuff.
But notations do have an effect on how people think about a subject. It helps to have notations that have a smooth mapping to the ways that people think and talk about a subject.

I agree, but respectfully point out that different people think and talk different ways. IMHO, the best general notation is conversational English. Modus Ponens.
