Hi Mel:
I know this is hard to understand or accept, but when devices work with most computers and they do not work with yours, chances are there is something wrong with your computer. Especially when they are set up the same way & with the same equipment. There is probably some stupid setting in the registry that is causing the problem. Probably made by some other program. I have been computing since the VIC 20 and most of the times that there have been problems they were on my end and I consider my self very computer literate. I am not suggesting that you do this, but I would bet that if you reinstalled Windows and then installed Logic, your problems would be resolved. I personally have only done this once in my life because my registry was so large. It is a shame that when you uninstall programs almost all of them leave there settings and garbage behind. Take it easy on Dennis. Every problem I have ever had with Logic was resolved with a phone call.
Good Luck, Lloyd NX4W
