Hi Dermot,
Yes it is possible to print the Log data directly on
to the card.
What you want to do is digitize one of your qsl cards. Place it into a
report temporally as a
background picture. Next drag the different fields into the correct areas
call, date and rst reports etc.
When you have it done the way you want delete the background picture.
Group all the fields together
and lock.
Now you have a layout for your qsl. Next time you want to print on the
card, use that report and print
using the blank card as the paper. Your report will work on any W4MPY
card that uses the same
info box layout.
The key is field placement so it prints in the same spot every time. Go
to George K3GV page and
down load "CARDLAYOUT1 3 QSO PRE CARD" report which you can use as
template for any basic design for qsl cards. It has all the fields
necessary for an official Qsl as recommended
by the league. And includes two short message fields. An all purpose
message, usually I put my signature in. And a
custom message you assign a user field to called"QSLMSG". So each card
will have a message to that contact printed
once, more on this later.
So Dermot you have a few things to do to get setup. first is beg borrow
or seal a "Bedscaner" to digitize your
qsl. If you don't have one some library have them or you maybe fax the
qsl to your self and convert the *.TFF fax
file to a *.bmp.
Hope I didn't lose you I am guessing you have some experience with
reports, let us know how things
turnout.

P.S. You will find the Card layout one in the zip at:
"Files for Download." It can be viewed at
http://www.qsl.net/k3gv/logicfilesfordownload.htm
Note: two parts to each report *.rpt & *.ret you need both parts.
