I may not have been clear enough, my apologies. When I was referring to the 
use of stl containers, I meant for the (host) storage of homogeneous object 
instances (lists of buildings, characters, vehicles, character groups etc.) 
and not a Lua stl-analogue. As Grisha pointed out, lua's tables can be made 
to emulate the function of most stl containers quite easily (if not 
effectively). Doing massive amounts of data operations in lua is generally 
not advisable for realtime applications.
