Note	The text of Hikayat Aceh (1) is a copy in Batavian Malay of ms. Or. 1954, which contains the story of Sultan Iskander Muda of Aceh (1583?-1636) starting with his genealogy on his mother's and his father's side, his birth, his youth during the reign of his grandfather Sultan Alaaddin Ri'ayat Syah Sayid al-Mukammil, his fame in the east during his youth continued by his fame in the west during his reign; then the story goes back to the reign of his grandfather ending with the latter's abdication. The copying of the manuscript was finished on 9 March 1847 / H 1263. One page is missing between page 1 and 2. Fragments taken from this manuscript are kept seperately as mss. Or. 8760 and Or. 8761.
