A meeting within the "Reform of Education Thru International Knowledge Exchange" (RETHINK) project financed by European Union TEMPUS Programme and coordinated by FAUL - Faculty of Architecture at Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal) was held at BSU. Baku State University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan are actively participating in RETHINK.

BSU Vice-rector on educational process and teaching technologies Aydin Kazimzade informed that mentioned educational program aims to prepare a specialist with high competencies, a scholar who will be able to publish and solve modern ecological, public and technical tasks.

RETHINK is an idea for new Curricula, a plan for connecting HEIs to the world of business/industry, and a wish for a better ENVIRONMENT. The project intends to establish connections, strengthen educational/cultural/business bridges and to construct a common language on the sphere of Higher Education and Society- under the theme of ENVIRONMENT (a priority). The RETHINK project intends to develop and offer its students 2 Joint Degrees: 1- Architecture/Urban Planning and 2- Climate Engineering/Environmental Sciences (Masters & PhD degrees).
