The Department of Human Resources and Law functions according to the Law "On Education", Labor Code and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the BSU Charter.
Baku State University is one of the largest employers with 3041 employees. The Human Resources and Law Department provides support to all of the university's staff in their university activities. The Department is a strategic service function for 127 departments, 16 faculties, 2 research institutes, 3 research centers and 24 research laboratories at Baku State University.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating (for all officers, faculty and stuff of Baku State University);
- Employee records management, issuance of the certificates;
- Vacation scheduling, medical certificates recording, preparing employment records related to rewarding and recognition, issuance of orders (transferring, promoting, and terminating etc.);
- Labor discipline control, attendance reporting.
