The meeting between the faculty members of Baku State University (BSU) and Anhui University of China took place on January 12, 2024. An online meeting was attended by Rauf Gasanov, Head of the International Relations Department at BSU; Bakhtiyar Pashaev, Dean of the Faculty of Physics; Vusal Mamedov, Deputy Dean; Lala Gahramanli, Senior lecturer at the Department of Chemical Physics of Nanomaterials; and representatives from Anhui University, Professor Xuewen Hu, Director of the International Office of Anhui University; Yu Xin-Yao, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Material Science and Engineering and Tian Mingliang, Director of the School of Physics and Optoelectronics Engineering.

Bakhtiyar Pashaev provided information to the representatives of Anhui University about the departments and laboratories on the faculty, ongoing research, explorations, and achievements. Lala Gahramanli discussed the opportunities available at BSU and highlighted the essence of collaborative work with international partners.

Tian Mingliang talked about the faculty of physics and optoelectronics, including the faculty's teaching staff, directions of scientific research, applied works, and achievements. Yu Xin-Yao shared insights into the subjects taught in the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, applied work, research directions, instruments, and equipment used.

Subsequently, there was an exchange of ideas regarding the collaboration between the two universities and discussions about the topics for future meetings.
