Delegation from Pakistan Visits Baku State University
Baku State University (BSU) recently hosted Fahad Shahbaz, the Representative of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the Youth Program, and Abuzar Ghaffari, the Director of Special Projects and Operations at the University of Lahore.
During the visit, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev shared insights into the university's rich history and its mission to become a leading hub for education, research, and innovation. He highlighted the university's commitment to training specialists across various scientific fields.
Abuzar Ghaffari expressed keen interest in fostering academic collaboration, particularly in student and faculty exchange programs. He provided an overview of the University of Lahore, established in 1999, which currently ranks among the top 951–1000 universities in the QS World University Rankings and the 801–1000 range in the Times Higher Education Rankings. With over 35,000 students across 11 faculties, the university also boasts five research centers and three technology parks.
The meeting concluded with a discussion on potential avenues for cooperation between the two institutions.
