BSU's Irrigo Innovation Showcased at COP29
The Creativity Workz team from Baku State University (BSU) successfully participated in the Green Tech Karabakh initiative as part of the COP29 conference. The team introduced Irrigo, an advanced agricultural irrigation system leveraging intelligent technological solutions.
The Irrigo system is designed to revolutionize water use in agriculture. It minimizes irrigation water consumption while creating an ecosystem capable of purifying non-potable water—removing organic pollutants, salts, and heavy metals—so it can be reused for irrigation. This purified water is then circulated within a closed-loop system. By conserving water resources, Irrigo also optimizes material and time expenditures, offering significant operational efficiency. Remote control functionality and integration with real-time weather forecasts make it a groundbreaking tool for modern agriculture.
During the presentation, attendees from various countries explored the system’s cost-saving benefits, its efficiency, and its positive impact on environmental sustainability. The Irrigo project was well-received for its potential to drive innovation in sustainable agricultural practices.
