BSU Marks Kelbajar City Day
The Faculty of Information and Document Management at Baku State University (BSU) hosted an event to celebrate Kelbajar City Day.
Event moderator Rashad Gardashov highlighted the significance of November 25, 2020, when Kelbajar was peacefully returned to Azerbaijan as part of the trilateral agreement signed on November 10, 2020. He remarked, "The history of Kelbajar’s liberation stands as one of the most glorious chapters in our nation’s Victory."
Knyaz Aslan, head of BSU's editorial and publishing department and a veteran of the First Karabakh War, reflected on the immense morale boost brought by the 44-day Patriotic War. He spoke about ongoing reconstruction efforts in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, stating, "Our liberated Kelbajar is being revitalized, with rapid progress in construction and restoration. President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, alongside First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, recently inaugurated the Istisu mineral water plant in Kelbajar. This precious resource, long yearned for, is now gracing our tables and official events."
Additionally, Aykhan Shukurlu, a graduate of the faculty and veteran of the Patriotic War, shared his experiences from the battlefield. He emphasized that, through the 44-day Victory March and subsequent one-day anti-terrorist operations, separatism has been decisively eliminated from Azerbaijani lands.
The event underscored Kelbajar’s liberation and the enduring spirit of national unity and progress.
