BSU Expands Cooperation with NUST University
During his visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), Elchin Babayev, met with Vice-Rector of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) of Pakistan, Osman Hasan, and NUST Director Quality Assurance, Awais Mehmood Kamboh. The discussions focused on enhancing academic collaboration between the two institutions and strengthening international research networks.
NUST is one of Pakistan's most prestigious universities, boasting a strong scientific foundation in artificial intelligence, data analysis, aerospace sciences, energy technology, and information technology. The meeting explored opportunities to expand integration between the two universities in these fields and initiate joint projects.
Elchin Babayev emphasized the significance of establishing joint research centers and laboratories between BSU and NUST, implementing double degree programs, and producing collaborative scientific publications.
Both parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in conducting joint research in artificial intelligence, big data, robotics, and nanotechnology. They also discussed student and faculty exchange programs, joint conferences and seminars, and the execution of innovative projects between the two universities.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation was signed, outlining broader integration plans and concrete future projects.
During the visit, the BSU delegation toured the NUST campus and explored its innovative projects, gaining insight into the university’s advanced research and technological developments.
