Hey Jordan, how small have you gone with your nozzle diameter?

for sugar we usually do 1.2 mm or 0.8 mm for reproducible extrusion. Going smaller requires higher pressures which the glass syringe won't support. you can't just increase the temp. to lower viscosity because the sugar will burn.

And a steel syringe is around 500ドル to start with, so we'll stick with the 50ドル glass syringe for now.

are you using standard borosilicate hamiltons then? have you tried fused silica (quartz) instead?
