CMI and POTC Movie



Is it me or do these images look similar?

Well I don't know if you've stumbled across this specific chestnut, but the Curse of Monkey Island cartoon-movie that was axed, involved one of the guys who helped write Pirates of the Caribbean (iirc). I think they've actually now admitted that half of PotC/PotC2 movies script were adapted from the axed cartoon-movie.

  2. Oh, P.S. Yes, I think it's very very similar. CoMI is like the ultimate pirate-comedy game, so you'd think the PotC makers are bound to have been influenced by the look of MI.

  4. except for the picture being vertically flipped, it is the same harbour. So it means they are not in Tortuga, they're in Puerto Pollo and all the pirates are barbers... finally PotC makes sense... or not...
