Hi just wanted to ask about the location distance on the Browse tab. I even copy pasted a Google Maps API before installing the app and yet it still shows a lot of profiles that are 100 and even more km away from me in random order.
Also this API doesn't seem to change anything. When I try to set my location under settings, I can't set my correct city and the maps UI is blank.
Are these known issues?

Also were the GrindrPlus settings removed from the Grindr app? I only see the ones in the GrindrPlus app.

(I use non rooted LSPatch, sry for the tldr length)

it works for sometime and later "paywalled feature detected" when i click on a profile
is it oneplus? the module? or what?

I am rooted and using LSposed with GPS setter to spoof my location on my Pixel 9xl with no problems. I have a new Pixel 10 Pro XL running Android 16, have rooted it but unfortunately I cannot get any of the LSposed versions to work including the JingMatrix versions. Android must have changed something as when I install any LSposed version they all fail to find a preinit directory so do not install correctly therefore GPSsetter doesn't work. Has anyone on Android 16 been able to get Lsposed to load correctly so GPS setter can work, or any other program that will spoof my location to Grindr. Thanks

Everything is fine in the grid and favorites, but when I click on a profile, it appears offline. This already happened last month, but then it went back to normal. The strange thing is that this doesn't happen when I disable Gplus. I uninstalled and reinstalled it from scratch, but nothing helped.

Got the same problem!

The last time I managed to solve it (5 minutes ago), I left Grindr open, "force stop" via the Android app info menu , and cleared the cache.

on my old Pixel 9 rooted LSposed worked fine on Android 16 but not on Pixel 10. What version of JingMatrix LSposed are you using. The built in location spoofer never worked that great when LSposed was working for me on my Pixel9. Half of the time it would freeze up, not work or people in other locations could see I wasn't local to them. GPSsetter always worked and made me look local to other people when I went to other locations.

Having exactly the same issue! In grid the profiles show green dots, but when clicked into the profiles, the status all become "offline".

Tried to force stop and clear the cache, didn't work.

I've tried everything too, and the only thing that works is disabling gplus.
I also tried disabling the hooks one by one, but nothing changed.
It seems to be due to some server-side changes at grindr on some accounts but I'm no expert, so I'm just guessing.
Sometimes, when I click on the profile, I can see the last login for a moment, and then it goes back offline, I'm not using adblocker or alternative dns.

I just got it to work again by uninstalling and reinstalling both Grindr and Grindr Plus. Remembered that's what worked last time and it seems to be working still. I think you have to do this every time you sign in and out.

ok i retried after hours of failed attempts and now it worked. i only force-close the app between tries, i never clear data or had to re-login.

well, the plot thickens...

after working for a few minutes, i'm back to the thing not working. in the meantime i might have done "unexpected things", like browsing too large a grid or blocking to many profiles or whatever. could we be triggering some kind of soft or hard ban?

for now stuffs are still broken, and of note is that i can't login to "web.grindr.com" either. i tried from firefox and chrome, both in incognito windows so no extensions are active, and i couldn't log in. i had my credentials stored somewhere, so i was sort of confident that they were correct. but here's the thing: if i enter an incorrect password, a "bad user or password" message shows up. but if i enter what i think my password is, then i get a silent fail. in both browsers.

so...

either grindr backend is seriously effed up right now, or they are banning us.

I'm having some luck by restarting my phone entirely. YMMV.

restarting the phone does not help in my case. it's probably the same as force closing.

today i was able to login again. i immediately disabled the "unlimited albums" hacks, which is known to cause crashes all the time. rationale: maybe grindr was rate limiting my account because of the constant relogins secondary to the constant crashes. crashes ceased as expected; but now i checked the app again and again i can't login. i asked non-mod users whether they are having issues and i'm expecting a response.

of note: during the time that i was able to use the app (including force closing it and reopening it to cause a new login), although the app worked, i still couldn't login to web.grindr.com... same silent failure.

    Grindr Plus - Extend the limits of Grindr!​

    I am pleased to present Grindr Plus, a mod for Grindr that adds new features to the popular dating app!

    Precedents​

    A similar mod already exists (https://xdaforums.com/t/mod-xposed-grindrmod-new.3807621/) although it hasn't been maintained for quite a long time.

    Within the range of possibilities and options offered by the Xposed API, the main goal is to improve the experience in this dating app as much as possible.
    I'm also implementing some features requested by users in official Grindr feedback (https://grindr.uservoice.com/forums/912631-grindr-feedback). Some requests are very simple to implement and today I do not understand why the official Grindr team has not been in charge of carrying them out, something that makes lots of people very angry. It is time for users to be heard once and for all.!

    Mod Features​

    (Depending on the version of the client and module you're using, some features may not be available or may work buggy.)
    • Allow mocking locations (WARNING: Abusing this feature may result in a permanent ban)
    • Advanced features:
      • Unlimited cascade view.
      • Unlocked 'Explore mode'.
      • Advanced search filters.
      • See 'Read' and 'Typing...' message states.
    • Allow taking screenshots in any part of the app (including albums and expiring photos).
    • Unlimited expiring photos.
    • Remove expiration on incoming expiring photos, allowing to see them any number of times you want.
    • Extra profile fields in the so-called CruiseViewHolder ('Profile ID', and exact time of 'Last seen')
    • Make videocalls even if you didn't start a chat with the recipient.
    • Access to some user-hidden features (developer features)
    • More accurate online status from other users. (Now, the green dot from other profiles goes off after 3 minutes of inactivity.) Inspired in the feedback made at: https://grindr.uservoice.com/forums/912631-grindr-feedback/suggestions/34555780-more-accurate-online-status-go-offline-when-clos
    • Allow unlimited taps (no 24h restriction)
    • "N/A" when Last Seen profile field is not available (= 0)

    • Ability to see who viewed your profile even if you have "Show Me In Viewed Me List" disabled.
    • Ability to remove messages from anyone, any time.

    Bugs​

    • Incognito mode is kinda buggy (it turns off after a little while)

    How to install​

    1. Install the Xposed Framework and its app (Xposed, EDXposed, etc.)
    2. Download the Grindr Plus module.
    3. Activate the module in the Xposed Installer.
    4. Reboot your device.
    5. Done!

    Troubleshooting​

    My Grindr app suddenly stops when the module is installed.​

    Check if the module supports the app version. Grindr has lots of obfuscated symbols that change in each app update and the module couldn't work (or couldn't work properly)
