Hello,

I have a POCO Pad device (model: POCO/dizi_p_global/dizi:15/AQ3A.240912.001/OS2.0.202.0.VNSMIXM) running Android 15. I use the Kiwi Browser, and sometimes I get a crash with this message:

Abort message: '[FATAL:browser_gpu_channel_host_factory.cc(51)] Timed out waiting for GPU channel.'

This happens mainly when I leave the browser running in the background. Interestingly, this error does not appear when I use Chrome — only with Kiwi Browser.

I’ve tried restarting, clearing cache, reinstalling browser, but the problem persists. It only happens on Android 15 on this device, not on other devices or Android versions.

Important:
- The issue seems related to Kiwi Browser, and the developers of the browser have stopped supporting it, so I cannot open issue.

If anyone has a ready-made solution or workaround for this GPU timeout error specifically in Kiwi Browser on Android 15, please share it.

Thank you very much!

I found a solution a few months ago, all you need to do is: 1. Settings > Applications > Autostart, and allow it for the kiwi browser 2. Disable the limit for child processes in the developer settings. 3. Settings > Application > Kiwi Browser > Background activity (No restrictions)

I also use a POCO Pad and have not had any issues like this.
This is interesting, but I remember that I always had this problem, mainly due to long periods of inactivity in incognito mode. Sometimes the browser didn't see the internet, After that I found another temporary solution: You should open the activity com.android.settings.RunningServices and clear the cached process of the Kiwi browser; this does not cause the browser to crash and helps resolve internet disconnections and GPU timeouts. Now this is not necessary, just enable the browser to autostart and remove restriction in the developer settings
