A Native Fish Recovery Strategy project demonstrating how communities can work together to recover native fish.

From barrier assessments helping to calibrate environmental flow settings to building fish habitats this project is working across a diverse range of issues with local communities and groups to improve river health and foster long term river stewardship.

This Local Land Services led project is funded by the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program and is working to safegaurd Macquarie perch populations in SENSW via a variety of actions.

This is a NSW DPI Fisheries Habitat Action Grant project funded by the NSW Recreational Fishing Trust which will increase breeding habitat for cod in the Murrumbidgee River.

This project is improving habitat complexity in the known habitat of the endangered Macquarie perch thanks to funding from the NSW Recreational Fishing Trust under NSW DPI’s Habitat Action Grant program.

This project is reducing the impact of riparian weeds (willows) downstream of the Cooma Gorge to improve the habitat of the endangered Macquarie perch and funded by the NSW Government Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.
