Cierra la sesión actual. Esta función se ejecuta automáticamente al cerrar la sesión, o explícitamente mediante session_write_close() .

Esta función no contiene ningún parámetro.

Valores devueltos

El valor devuelto (habitualmente true en caso de éxito, false si ocurre un error). Tenga en cuenta que este valor es devuelto internamente a PHP para análisis.

This method should release the exclusive lock that was acquired by the open() method.
Note that this will effectively serialize parallel requests, which affects performance for a single user session.
Not locking the resource would on the other hand allow for race conditions if two or more parallel requests change the session data.
