*According to the government of Newfoundland and Labrador, consultations are ongoing with respect to this holiday.

*In this is not a required statutory holiday. If an employer chooses to include this holiday then it is subject to public holiday regulations.

*There are special rules relating to the opening and closing of operations during this day. Employers who intend to open for business should consult The Remembrance Day Act. Although it is not a public holiday, employees may still be entitled to an average day's pay.

*An employer can choose to include either Good Friday or Easter Monday.

*The selected holiday is for government employees only.

*Note that the selected holiday is a statutory holiday only for certain employees in New Brunswick.
