The Orient Color Walk/Run 5K is a fun community event for all ages and fitness levels featuring color powder stations, music, event shirts, a finish line color blast, and more. Whether you want to walk, jog, or run, this event is all about fun, community, and supporting the Orient 4th of July fundraiser.

The City of Orient will be holding City Wide Cleanup from May 21 through May 24. Dumpsters will be available at City Hall for residents to dispose of bulk household trash and unwanted items. City workers will also pick up larger items left neatly at the roadside during the cleanup period.

Please note that Republic Services will NOT accept televisions. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to help clean up properties and neighborhoods throughout the community.

This cleanup event is part of the City’s continued effort to improve the appearance of Orient and prepare for upcoming ordinance enforcement regarding trash, junk, and debris on properties.

The annual Orient City-wide cleanup is scheduled for May 9-12, 2024. This is an opportunity to do some "spring cleaning". Simply, leave your "junk" on the curb and our city employees and/or volunteers will transport it to the roll-off dumpsters that will be located the City Hall. If you wish, you can haul your own stuff to the dumpsters. Please be respectful of those around you.

THE ORIENT CITY COUNCIL WILL MEET IN AN EMERGENCY SESSION ON TUESDAY, MAY 30, 2023 AT 6 PM AT THE ORIENT CITY HALL.

THE ONLY ITEM ON THE AGENDA WILL BE THE PURCHASE OF A POLICE VEHICLE FOR THE CITY OF ORIENT.
