Division II ComplianceDivision II expects its members to operate their athletics programs with integrity and in a welcoming manner that complies with conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Institutional control is a fundamental principle that supports the educational mission of a college or university and assumes presidential involvement and oversight.
Division II considers compliance to be a teamwork approach in which all members of the athletics department and other personnel across campus who are associated with athletics conduct the program with the highest levels of integrity and fairness.
To support this commitment, Division II recently increased its expectations when its members adopted a new policy requiring compliance officers to be devoted full-time to compliance duties. In other words, compliance officers at Division II schools can’t also have coaching responsibilities at the school.
