Women’s Guidance Homes
Goal
Women's Guidance Homes are facilities under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice that accommodate women of 20 years of age or older who have been convicted of Article 5 (Solicitation, etc.) of the Anti-Prostitution Act and given guidance measures, and, under a disciplined and positive environment, aim to conduct lifestyle and career guidance required for adapting to life in society, to provide medical care for the physical and mental disorders that may interfere with their rehabilitation, and to return them to society as self-reliant individuals. The period of the guidance measures is six months. Currently, the Tokyo Women's Guidance Home is located.
