Extension talk:CreatedPagesList

This page used the Structured Discussions extension to give structured discussions. It has since been converted to wikitext, so the content and history here are only an approximation of what was actually displayed at the time these comments were made.

What sets this extension apart from "newOnly=1" and "Special:Log/create"?

This is not criticism, just a question. On the user contributions page, there is a newOnly=1 parameter, and there is also the page creation log. Do they not make this extension redundant, or have I perhaps misunderstood something? Elominius (talk) 14:52, 9 February 2022 (UTC) Reply

For an active contributor, both lists will include many non-articles. 1) Special:Contributions?newonly=1 doesn't filter out redirects. 2) page creation log shows pages in all namespaces (e.g. templates), not only articles. It was also added in MediaWiki 1.32, so any pages created prior to 1.32 won't be in it. Edward Chernenko (talk) 15:46, 9 February 2022 (UTC) Reply
