Opening Night is a microgame found in WarioWare: Smooth Moves in 9-Volt & 18-Volt's stage. Unlike other microgames in 9-Volt & 18-Volt's stages, this is not focused on a specific game; rather, it represents Nintendo by various Family Computer and NES sprites and orchestral rearrangements of classic music from said consoles.
Gameplay[edit ]
The object is to wave the Wii Remote in the 4/4 conducting pattern to conduct the orchestra through a music track (see below). Once done, the player's Mii (the conductor) bows to the audience.
- Level 1: The player must conduct Mario, Luigi and Link (each with a violin or viola) to play music lasting four seconds, including: to play music lasting four seconds, including:
- Super Mario Bros. 3 "Athletic BGM"
- Super Mario Bros. 3 "Fireworks"
- Super Mario Bros. 3 "Player Down"
- Super Mario Bros. "Ground BGM" / "Player Down"
- Donkey Kong "Round Start BGM"
- Super Mario Bros. 3 "Course Clear"
- Level 2: The player must conduct Mario, Luigi, Link, Toad (playing a violin or viola), and Pit (playing a cello) to play longer music lasting eight seconds, including:
- Mario Bros. "Title BGM"
- Dr. Mario "Selection Screen"
- Clu Clu Land "Game Over" / "Scene Clear"
- Level 3: The player must conduct Mario, Luigi, Link, Pit, Samus (playing a cello), Princess Peach (playing a flute), and Donkey Kong (playing a timpani) to play even longer music lasting eight seconds, including:
- Kid Icarus "Stage 1"
- Super Mario Bros. "Course Clear"
- Excitebike "Title BGM"
- The Legend of Zelda "Overworld Theme"

Notes[edit ]
- Unused content suggests tracks from Metroid and Duck Hunt would have been included, but were later cut for unknown reason. Even so, Samus still appears as one of the orchestra members.
