Memory Mash is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Mario Party DS . Its name is a pun on "memory match."

Overview[edit ]

The minigame features 18 facedown cards, which the teams must ground-pound to flip them and find pairs. If a team finds two matching cards, that team collects them. The cards show pictures of a Green Shell, a red Paratroopa shell, a green-spotted Yoshi's Egg, a pink-spotted Birdo's Egg, a Cheep Cheep, a Lakitu's Cloud, a Fire Flower, a Buzzy Beetle, and a Mushroom. The team that gets four pairs of matching cards first is the winner. However, if both teams manage to get four pairs of matching cards at the same time or if five minutes pass without the teams getting four pairs, the minigame ends in a tie.

  • Rules – "Flip cards to find pairings by ground-pounding them. The team that finds four pairs first wins."
  • Tips – "Watch the cards that other players turn over as well, so you can remember their location and content."
