Hachisuke is a hornet that served as the mascot of the former video game developer Hudson Soft, appearing as part of the company's logo. It is a reference to the Hudson Hornet, a sedan from the 1950s built by the unrelated Hudson Motor Car Company. Hachisuke appears in several games developed by Hudson Soft, including as an item in Super Mario Bros. Special , where it can be found exclusively inside a Hidden Block in World 1-1 and awards 8,000 points.
