Current Event, or Peach's Castle-The Icon of Princess Peach's Castle from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. , is the fifth course of Peach's Castle in New Super Luigi U . It is unlocked from completing Hot Cogs or Firefall Rising and its own completion unlocks The Final Battle.
Layout[edit ]
The level begins on a platform in the castle, with stairs going to a tilt lift. The lava begins rising, and a few Bowser Stunners are found. A Pipe Cannon follows, which leads to a platform above where another tilt lift is located. Parabombs begin falling from above throughout the area, and two connected Bowser Stunners are found just before the first Warp Door. A Hidden Block containing a 1-Up Mushroom is found to the right of the door. Another Pipe Cannon is found, which leads to a section of the ground with ? Blocks and a Bob-omb. A third tilt lift is found, leading through another section of Bowser Stunners and Parabombs. Another Warp Door is found, with another Hidden Block containing a 1-Up Mushroom to the right of it. The Goal Pole is then found.

The course's name is a portmanteau of "electric current", relating to Bowser Stunners' behavior, and the term "current event", another term for news.
