Use of GIS and Satellite data for project evaluation
JICA Evaluation Department is working to promote the application of space and geospatial data ("Satellite data") to project evaluation , as an essential information source for obtaining objective evidence and verifying the effectiveness impact of JICA's projects. Since FY 2017, the Satellite data has been used on a trial basis in the ex-post evaluations of some projects, and we intend to use it more actively in the future.
