‘Me and Lottie have very different views’ – Jennifer Zamparelli on why she quit her popular parenting podcast
This Sunday sees the Dancing With The Stars Ireland final but host Jennifer Zamparelli knows that real life is not always glittering. After speaking out about a past abusive relationship, she signed up to be an ambassador for Coolmine drug and alcohol treatment centre. Here, she talks about what drew her to the charity, why she left radio and her parenting podcast with Lottie Ryan, and finding her own happiness

Just under a year ago, there was an exodus of stars from 2FM. In May 2024, the hosts of three flagship shows — Jennifer Zamparelli, Doireann Garrihy and The 2 Johnnies — announced they were leaving the station, one after another, within a matter of weeks. To outsiders, it looked like the station was in turmoil.
The head of the station, Dan Healy, didn’t exactly placate those feelings when he told Claire Byrne on her radio show he thought it was "amazing" that news of 2FM haemorrhaging talent had made so many front pages.
