Alternate Paths

This page will contain information on the Alternate Paths that unlock Bonus Missions or faster routes in Star Fox Zero.

Keep in mind that in order to open certain alternate paths, you may need to replay a mission after performing another task or unlock a new vehicle.

Main Mission Alternate Paths

There are five main story missions that have branching pathways to be found and unlocked.

Corneria

After exiting Corneria City, a large transport will pass by bound for the coastline. Transform the Arwing into the Walker and step on the red switch to open the doors ahead of you.

If the portal in this stage has already been unlocked by completing the mission in Sector Beta, Fox will be transported to the Aquarosa boss fight after shooting the Striders off the transport.

Sector Alpha

Once you've completed all of the main story missions (including Fortuna), Fox will receive word that Star Wolf has been spotted in this sector.

Roughly 2/3 of the way through Phase 01 (on replay), Pigma will show up and start darting around ahead of Fox. Use ZL to lock onto him and Fox will follow him away, abandoning his current mission. This begins the Wolfen bonus mission.

Sector Beta

At the end of the mission, when Star Wolf appears, an alternate path will open if Fox can defeat Wolf O'Donnell before he manages to damage Peppy's ship.

This opens the path to Fortuna and grants players a Mission Accomplished rating for the mission.

Fortuna

Once you've completed all of the main story missions (including Fortuna), Fox will receive word that Star Wolf has been spotted in this sector.

About halfway through Phase 01 (on replay), Wolf will show up and start darting around ahead of Fox. Use ZL to lock onto him and Fox will follow him away, abandoning his current mission. This begins the Hunter bonus mission.

Titania

After completing the mission in Sector Beta, a portal will appear on Titania. Once you've unlocked the Gravmaster tank by completing the mission on Fichina, return to Titania.

After facing down the first three worms, you emerge into a valley full of enemies. Follow the central path up the hill, then use the Gravmaster to fly upwards towards the portal. This will trigger a cutscene that leads to the Salvadora boss mission.
