Splatoon 2 contains a variety of ink based Weapons that can be used in both offensive and defensive maneuvers. You can purchase weapons from Sheldon in Inkopolis Square with coins you've collected from playing online. New weapons are unlocked through level 30.

Each weapon set comes with a sub weapon and a special . Main weapons are split into six different categories. Hit the links below to jump to each type of main weapon:

All the Hero Replica Weapons can be unlocked by completing each and every level of Hero Mode with the same weapon.

Shooters

The standard weapon. The middle ground weapon that is good at inking turf and splatting enemies. Overall equal.

Blasters

Type of Shooter that shoots out blobs of ink which explode after travling a certain distance or on contact. A direct hit can result in critical damage. They can also cause splash damage to enemies who are within the impact of the explosion, making them able to inflict damage on enemies hiding around corners.

Rollers

As the name implies, use the Roller to roll ink wherever you move by holding the trigger down and running. Press the trigger to fling ink- attacking is powerful. In Splatoon 2, rollers can now do a vertical fling by jumping and attacking. This is useful for inking paths up walls or hitting opponents at a distance. It is important to note that the Run Speed Up Ability does not affect your speed when running with a Roller on the ground.

Brushes

Your attack is a rapid fire splash that can take enemies out at close range. Similart to Rollers keep the trigger held down to keep your brush on the ground and paint a path. The high mobility of brushes make them very popular for Clam Blitz. It is important to not ethat the Run Speed Up Ability does not affect your speed when running with a Brush on the ground.

Sloshers

Sloshers unleash a large amount of ink per shot. They vary widely in ink coverage and abilities- so be sure to test them out!

Similar range to standard Slosher. Releases ink in an arc with limited spread. Directly hitting an enemy will result in critical hit damage like a Blaster.

Lobs a ball of ink in a large arc which ends in an explostion when it comes in contact with the ground or a wall. Ball of ink can pass through enemies. In Salmon Run, aim at the baskets of the Flyfish to easily take it out instead of using Splat Bombs.

Releases ink in a stream of bubbles that bounce around. Will burst over time or when they come in contact with an enemy. Long range tight spread. Takes about three bubble hit to splat an enemy.

Splatlings

The machine gun weapon. Charge your attack and release to unleash a rapid fire attack with good reach.

Brellas

A new weapon type in Splatoon 2, first introduced in the single-player campaign and then in the full game on August 11, 2017 with the Splat Brella. Use the umbrella as shield, but continue holding it to propell the umbrella forward, leaving a trail of ink.
