In Metal Gear Solid 3, Rankings are a way that the game lets you know how you performed in the game. Rankings vary slightly from previous installments, with some difficulties having more ranks than others and also having stricter prerequisites. We'll list them in order from best to worst to the best of our abilities.

Special Rankings

These are special rankings that can only be achieved by certain prerequisites. While some of them are simply met by not reaching any of the previous requirements, some of the other ones are met by completing a different objective.

Cow - Raise more than 300 alerts.
Pigeon - Get 0 kills.
Chameleon - Get 0 alerts.
Leech - Finish the game with a leech still attached to Snake.
Tsuchinoko - Complete the game with a living Tsuchinoko captured.
- This awards the Infinity Face Paint.
Markhor - Capture every plant and animal.
- This awards the EZ Gun.
Kerotan - Shoot all of the Kerotan frogs.
- This awards the Stealth Camo.
