Checklists
The first act of Inscryption is full of things for you to use in your quest to beat Leshy. One of the most effective things at your disposal are all of the items you can pick up as you traverse the in-game map.
These aren't items you want to hold onto. Because you can refill fairly often, you're often better off using them often to keep you out of sticky situations. Below, we'll give you the rundown on everything available and then tell you our favorites.
Inscryption Act 1 Items

| Bottle | These bottles can include several different types of cards. When you use them, the card will go right into your hand. The options are Squirrel, Boulder, Blood Goat, and Frozen Opossum. | Item Vendor |
| Pliers | Pull out one of your own teeth and place it on the scale, giving you one point toward victory. | Item Vendor |
| Fan | Gives all your cards the Airborne Sigil for one turn. | Item Vendor |
| Scissors | Cuts one of Leshy's cards in half, taking it off of the battlefield. | Item Vendor |
| Piggy Bank | Break it to get four Bones. | Item Vendor |
| Hourglass | Leshy skips his next turn | Item Vendor |
| Fishhook | Lets you steal one of Leshy's minions and bring them to your side of the board (can only use once per run). | Item Vendor |
| Dagger | Cut out your eye and place it Leshy's scale, giving you four points toward victory. | Solving the Caged Wolf Puzzle |
| Green Blob Bottle | If you pick this, Leshy will remove it from the board. You can then talk to it in the cabin for a few hints. | Item Vendor |
In our opinion, the best two options are obviously the Fishhook and Dagger. However, they can take some time to unlock. If you're having trouble, make sure to check out our Secrets section to get the Dagger ASAP. Otherwise, we love having a spare Scissors in our hand and won't turn down a free Blood Goat if it's offered.
