Red Magic Spells

In Forspoken, you will need to use magic in order to survive your time in Athia. Luckily, Frey can learn up to four different types of magic that will help her move around and defeat enemies. On this page of IGN's Forspoken guide, we go over Red Magic and all the spells available for that type of magic.

Red Magic Spells

Red magic — also known as Sila's magic — is a fire-based type of magic that Frey will be able to learn during her time in Athia. For the time being, it is unclear what you will need to do to learn red magic, but it is safe to assume that whatever it is, it's related to Tanta Sila.

Below is a list of all the confirmed red-magic spells, as well as what they do and what kind of role they have in combat.

Red Magic Offensive Spells
Spell	What it Does
Slice	Summons a magical sword that slices into the enemy
Rage Slice	Unleashes a flurry of magical punches while charging, then sends enemies flying with explosives force when released
Rage Slice Lv 2	Unleashes more powerful punches while charging, and explodes with more force when released
Rage Slice Lv 3	Unleashes even more powerful punches while charging, and explodes with even more force when released
Arc Slice Lv 1	A Lightning-quick area slice with a huge magical sword. In midair, it won't go as far, but will deal more damage.
Arc Slice Lv 2	An Improved area slice with a huge magical sword. When unleashed in midair, it sends out a stunning shockwave.
Arc Slice Lv 3	An insane area slice with a huge magical sword. When unleashed in midair, it sends out a devastating shockwave
Blast Slice	Throws a magical spear at an enemy that damages them and the surrounding area. Flies further and hits harder from midair.
Blast Slice Lv 2	Throws an improved magical spear that damages an enemy and the surrounding area. Flies further and hits harder from midair
Blast Slice Lv 3	Throws a deadly magical spear that damages an enemy and the surrounding area. Flies further and hits harder from midair

Red Magic Defensive Spells
Spell	What it Does
Fusilade	Summons multiple fiery swords that protect you by attacking enemies while you're charging up your magic
Aegis	Summons the protective power of cleansing flame to erase any attack( or defense) reducing effects, increasing attack power at the same time
Legion	Summons a host of fiery soldiers to attack the enemy
Charge	A forward rush with a magical shield that drives enemies back on impact
Crucible	Encloses the area in fiery walls, inside which attack power is increased
Bombardier	Kicks enemies backward with fiery force, triggering an explosion that damages foes over an area
Firetrap	Causes lava to bubble up beneath the enemy and simmer away for a hot minute

Other Red Magic Spells
Spell	What it Does
Beacon	A light in the darkness that increases the speed at which stamina recharges, but also makes you easier to spot
Conflagration	Calls forth a fiery column that spatters enemies with magma, which remains on the ground for a short while after the attack
Conflagration Lv 2	Hits harder and over a wider area when the buttons are held
Conflagration Lv 3	Calls forth a fiery column that flies wildly around the battlefield when the buttons are held for even longer, dealing damage left and right
Drag and Drop	A ranged attack that strikes distant enemies and pulls them closer, switching to Sila's magic as it does so
Amplify	Allows you to use your crafting skills to increase the amount by which a cloak improves your magic

Soar	climb even higher with multiple leaps in quick succession
Rush	Flow even faster with a well-timed button press
Zip	Use magic to grab and move
