Amazon's Fallout TV series was created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Fallout is based on the video game series of the same name and follows many of the same plot points. Bethesda Game Studios had a hand in the production of the series, with Todd Howard singed on as an executive producer himself. The first season aired on April 10, 2024 and was renewed for a second season that premiered on December 16, 2025. You can check out IGN's review of the first 6 episodes of season 2 for more info.
How to Watch Fallout
The Fallout TV series is streaming exclusively on Prime Video. There have been some limited-time free streams on other platforms like Samsung TV Plus, but Amazon's Prime Video streaming service is really the only place to watch it. You can get access to the service via a free trial of Amazon Prime or by purchasing a separate Prime Video Subscription.
Season 1 Is Available in 4K/Blu-ray
The first season of Fallout has also been released in 4K and Blu-ray if you'd prefer to own the series yourself. The Fallout 4K steelbook was released back in July 2025 and quickly become one of the most popular Blu-ray releases of the year.

Now that season 2 has wrapped up, Amazon has launched preorders for the season 2 4K steelbook. There isn't an official release date yet.
How Many Episodes Are There?
Fallout season 1 was released on April 10, 2024 with all eight of its episodes dropping at once. Season 2 is also going to have a total of eight episodes, but with a more prolonged weekly release schedule. Fallout season 3 is also already in the works with plans to start filming in the summer of 2026. You can check out our episode guides for the series below for more details about each season.
