Ro is a Rotten Tomatoes approved freelance film/tv critic, writer, and host on several of the MTR Network's podcasts. She curates the best anime on Netflix column here at IGN, which means she spends a lot watching, and re-watching - anime feature films and series and finding ways to convince people that Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll are their favorite anime too.

In addition to writing reviews and features, she reviews and discusses speculative fiction and other bookish topics for her podcast I Talk Sh!t and Read and Fiyah Literary Magazine. She's a member of the San Diego Film Critics Society and the Online Association of Female Film Critics and also former culture columnist for San Diego CityBeat (may it rest in peace).

Her addiction to speculative fiction, horror, comic books, political dramas, and true crime documentaries has kept her happily engaging with the entertainment industry for 8 years.
