Summary
Zero Racers is a Nintendo-developed 3D racing game that was once slated for release on the Virtual Boy console in 1996. Despite being completed, the game was canceled and remained unreleased until 2026, when it appeared as part of the Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics lineup. Zero Racer features dull 3D movement inside enclosed tunnel tracks, allowing ships to dive, climb, brake, accelerate, and use Turbo Boost. Players select from Grand Prix, Practice, and a VTR preview option that offers previews of all track layouts before racing. There are 15 total tracks across three different circuits (5 tracks each). Like in other F-Zero games, Vehicles expend fuel when accelerating or taking wall damage, requiring players to pull onto refueling strips.
