This is one of my favorite games ever, but playing it nowadays is a bit difficult. The lack of radar does not work well with an isometric view and aiming your gun can be jarring. MGS4 and 5 have the camera right with 3rd person view and perspective and I am looking forward to this remaster, so much that I purchased another copy to try to play once I heard the announcement. I still love the story and boss battles and have so many memories of this game. Still my favorite of the series.

Deep story, tough stealth, and endless ways to play. Snake is fully committed to his mission, though I missed the high-tech feel & design of MGS1 and MGS2.
While controls can feel outdated after 20 years, the heart-pounding moments and constant challenges make MGS3 a must-play for anyone who loves complex, ingenious and patient-testing gameplay.

I never imagined climbing a ladder would make me want to stand up and salute. Seriously, though. Brilliant story. Moving characters. Gripping boss fights. Kick-in-the-pants ending. A powerful emotional experience.

This is a true return to form and a hell of a way for the series to wrap up several plot lines in an exciting way.
