Easily some of the best writing I’ve experienced in a video game. Characters with such interesting backstories that all tie to the core theme of corporate exploitation and how deeply that affects the culture and environment we live in

Loved my time on The Eye (despite being hunted, ya know) and loved the people I met along the way. But I hate mushrooms.

A fantastic story with each decision you make having meaningful impacts on how the story ends. All in all the dystopian world that you are part of is not that far from our own, and in such it makes you reflect on your own life and decisions. Do you run, or do you stay??

Love love LOVED this game. The writing is of course the highlight, as this is essentially a visual novel with touches of role-playing and strategy. The story is tightly woven, and while it can sometimes be a little on-the-nose, the visuals and accompanying soundtrack make the story beats hit so much harder. Multiple times during the playthrough, I'd wished there'd been some element of voice acting for some of the lines. What would The Gardener even sound like though? The DLC that's now included with the base game really ties it all together. Truly a wonderful gem of a game, and I'm looking forward to the sequel!

It is so rare to find a game with good writing, but Citizen sleeper is one of them. It is phylosofical, engaging, and tender at times. It is the thing that keeps you going. If this team had budget for VO and longer soundtrack, like Disco Elysium, I think it could final that game, bit still, I recommend this game.

Played an hour and I can see why people love this game! But with clunky selection controls and without the voice acting of Disco Elysium, I'd rather read my book. DNF
