A Hat in Time is an amazing platformer. It mixes some of the best things from 3D platformer classics Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie with its own special formula and it is great. The humor was great, the difficulty felt like a good mix between easy and hard. The best part is probably the Death Wish assignments (part of the Seal the Deal DLC), which feel like a huge challenge for even platformer veterans.

Probably not for everyone, especially if you're looking for a darker and hard game, but if you need to just enjoy a real nice and cute game that's always on sale for no apparent reason, then A Hat In Time is always there for you.

This game is hands down one of the best 3D playformers ever made. I think this game was heavily slept on when it came out and it is a shame. Beating this game playing coop was an incredible experience that I will remember for a long time. Each level has a different gimmick and they are all fairly fun and interesting.
