CBS Cancels Partners

Partners is no more. CBS is cancelling their new comedy series, Deadline reports, and will not order a full season once the show’s initial 13 episodes have completed production. The cancelation is not a surprise – Partners has been the ratings weak link on CBS’s Monday night comedy lineup since it debuted, dipping notably in-between How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls. This past Monday, it had its lowest ratings yet, no doubt solidifying CBS’s decision.

CBS has one other new comedy scheduled for midseason, Friend Me. But Deadline says the most likely show to take Partners place in the near future is perennial benchwarmer/slot-filler Rules of Engagement.

Among their other new fall series, CBS already cancelled Made in Jersey, but have given full season orders to Elementary and Vegas.
