READ THE RULES! Removing a photographer's watermark or cropping it out and posting their photo as your own is not only disrespectful, you're stealing someone else's work. If I notice that you have posted a photo from another site on a memorial I manage, I will politely ask you to remove it immediately.

To those sending edits: If I ask, please include factual proof for the edits you're submitting. On too many occasions, I've received incorrect information which is frustrating and defeats the purpose of Find A Grave. I try to check the accuracy of all edits received, but sometimes I'm unable to verify the edit with the sources I have access to. If your edit is correct and can be backed up with proof, it shouldn't be an issue.

So many beautiful cemeteries are being ruined and destroyed in the name of 'modernization' and 'progress,' that recording and photographing all we can while we have the chance may be the only way to ensure that their unique beauty and history is protected and preserved for others to enjoy in the future.
