エルメス(HERMÈS)財団が東京・銀座に展開する銀座メゾンエルメス フォーラムでは、展覧会「スペクトラム スペクトラム(Spektrum Spektrum)」を、2025年3月20日(木・祝)から6月29日(日)まで開催する。
現実と虚構の"あいだ"7人の美術家が出展

© Isabelle Arthuis / Courtesy of Fondation d’entreprise Hermès「スペクトラム(spektrum)」とは、「スペクトル(spectrum)」を意味するドイツ語の単語だ。この「スペクトル」という言葉は、光や音など、物理的現象における分布を指すとともに、亡霊や幻視といった超自然的な存在、そして比喩的に扇子を意味するというように、幅広い意味の広がりを持っている。

Courtesy of the artist and Galerie Zink ©Tom Dachs展覧会「スペクトラム スペクトラム」は、「スペクトラム」という言葉が含みもつ意味の広がりを、「鏡」のような道具として用いるグループ展。ドイツ・ベルリンを拠点とするエマニュエル・カステランをはじめ、マリー・ローランサンや津田道子など、7人の美術家を取り上げ、真実の虚構の「あいだ」にある場所を立ち上がらせることを試みてゆく。

© Isabelle Arthuis / Courtesy of Fondation d’entreprise Hermèsエマニュエル・カステランは、1976年フランス・オリヤックに生まれ、2011年からはベルリンを拠点に活動。筆致や切り込みを幾層にも重ねた絵画を手がけており、額縁にとらわれずに壁にも直接描くなど、有機的に空間と溶けあう展示空間を作りだしている。

Courtesy of the artist and TARO NASU © Tadasu Yamamotoまた、1979年ドイツ・イェーナに生まれ、現在はハレで活動するヨハネス・ナーゲルは、粘土そのものの物質性に着目しつつ、鮮明な発色、非対称、不調和、表面の粗さや滑らかさを示す陶芸作品を手がける一方、1980年神奈川に生まれた津田道子は、映像原理を用いて、時間と空間のねじれを可視化させる作品を発表してきた。
