An important part of El Paso Electric’s mission is to provide safe and clean energy to the communities we serve. To accomplish this, we’ve made a commitment to generating more of our energy through renewable sources, and we’re pleased to say we’ve reached some important milestones in this undertaking.
El Paso Electric is the first utility in Texas and New Mexico to completely eliminate coal generation from its portfolio, and we’ve launched a major initiative to generate more electricity using solar technology.
