Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act, The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is administering over 250ドル million in grants to train a qualified and diverse clean energy workforce. The DOE Office of State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP) will help states, nonprofits, and industry prepare workers and businesses to deliver the energy efficiency and electrification projects that will decarbonize buildings.

Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Programs

Energy Auditor Training Grant Program – Section 40503

The Energy Auditor Training Grant Program will provide 40ドル million in grants to eligible states to train individuals to conduct energy audits or surveys of commercial and residential buildings to build the clean energy workforce, save customers money on their energy bills, and reduce pollution from building energy use.

Career Skills Training Program – Section 40513

The Career Skills Training Program will provide 10ドル million in grants for partnerships comprised of nonprofits, industry, and labor organizations. The program will fund nonprofit partnerships that give students both classroom instruction and on-the-job training to obtain an industry-related certification to install energy efficient building technologies.

Building Training and Assessment Centers – Section 40512

The Building Training and Assessment Centers Program will provide 10ドル million in grants to institutions of higher education to establish building training and assessment centers to prepare building technicians and engineers to identify and deliver energy efficiency upgrades to businesses and institutional buildings.

Inflation Reduction Act Programs

State-Based Home Energy Efficiency Contractor Training Grant Program – Section 50123

The State-Based Home Energy Efficiency Contractor Training Grant Program will provide 200ドル million in grants for states to reduce the cost of training residential energy efficiency and electrification contractors and their employees. This program will also provide grants to states that test and certify contractors trained and educated under state programs and partner with nonprofit organizations to develop and implement these programs.
