Protected Node

The Protected Node module can be used on websites where select pages need to be password protected. Different from permissions that require account creation, this is more user friendly. In terms of security, both methods are quite similar.
The module simply adds a field set in the node form allowing authors enter a password that will be used by visitors to access the node. If you've seen photo websites where you are required to enter a password in order to view a particular album, you are familiar with the experience that this module provides.
The Protected Node module has many options that can be difficult. As such, this documentation attempts to explain all that you can do with the module. Also, combining this module with others can be quite powerful!
