This is my entry for the "pesky power-ups" game jam.
This is a small platformer with a robot that can get new powers by using microchips. Travel through various levels, fight enemies and 4 bosses, collect screws and buy upgrades at the different shops and unlock new levels. I hope you have fun with this one!
Music & sounds are from free sources. Everything else was made by me for this game jam.
Controls:
Move - Arrow Keys, Jump - X, Attack - C, Return to world map - Esc

I've gotten about 7 yellow keycards as of writing this and I'm blown away by how good this is! Excellent submission for sure!
@TypeJCW When you say that, what exactly do you mean? The only 'bad controls' I can think of is for the ice movement, but even then it's intentionally slippery

I thought you made a fun cute game. Smart use of the theme. Cool pixel graphics and no bugs I encountered. You against the environment. The rocket flying made me laugh I thought it was really funny. The snail slime was pesky. You've done a lot during these two weeks. Good job!
I'm working on an experimental game myself. I'll upload it before the deadline. Hope to get it to a complete package.

@Devid K, the arrow keys are alr, but C for shooting and X for jumping are kinda unusal

@LordHannu Agreed. I find the rocket powerup to be very fun, even the autorun one. I also noticed during my first playthrough that the smoke coming out of you can kill enemies, for example the jumping boots

@TypeJCW I think that as long as the game is playable, the usual (or expected) control scheme is always forgiven

Just beat it (won't spoil the ending or the challenge that comes before it) and I can safely say this game deserves to be loved. I can't stress that enough

Very good! I got all of the yellow disks and beat the last boss. This is easyly the best one of all of the othe entries.
