About the role

We are currently seeking a software engineering team lead (PHP) to join the team. This role involves leading a team of software engineers, overseeing the development and maintenance of PHP-based applications, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
Experience with RESTful APIs, MySQL/MariaDB, and version control systems like Git.
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and deployment strategies is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

Flexibility to work both remotely and from the office.
Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications using PHP and related technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications for improved performance and security.
Integrate third-party services, APIs, and databases as needed.
Ensure best coding practices, security standards, and documentation are followed.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
