In Algeria there is a tomb holding the queen and mythical ancestor of the Tuareg people called "Tin Hinan".

Tin is such an interesting name. It could be used as a nickname (where the pronunciation TEEN is most likely), or perhaps even on its own (I prefer to pronounce it how it is written, if this were the case; TIHN). Solely using Tin, though, I think it would have to be in perfect context and pairing for it to work.

This is such a cool nickname! I would use it as a short form of Valentin or Valentina, it's cute.
